Tula’s eHealth System Takes Guatemala’s National COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign the Last Mile

In January 2021, the Ministry of Health in Guatemala asked Tula to help with the deployment of the national coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination campaign. While the Ministry of Health had clear plans for delivering vaccines to urban areas, for the 6.8M people living in rural areas (46%) they required a digital health informatics platform that could work in places without electricity or Internet. This is where Tula’s community eHealth system could play a critical role providing real-time information on vaccine roll-out to remote areas.

Tula appreciates the ongoing financial support of Global Affairs Canada. We will continue to provide updates as the national vaccination campaign advances.
