TulaSalud Wins a National Award in Guatemala
The Juan Bautista Gutierrez Foundation in Guatemala each year offers prizes entitled “Supporting Those Who Support”. The purpose of the awards is to honor and recognize the best social practices of nonprofit organizations dedicated to improving the lives of the most vulnerable populations in Guatemala in the areas of health and education.
The finalists are nominated by a jury of eminent specialists. The winners are chosen by the public via voting at Pollo Campero restaurants, which are everywhere in Guatemala (a bit like KFC, but far superior), and on the Foundation’s website.
This year TulaSalud placed second, which is great recognition for the fine work they do. Prize money for second place is 500,000 quetzals—roughly USD 63,495, so nothing to sneeze at.
Our hearty congratulations!
